MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA MARKS THE CELEBRATION OF "GATHERING OF SERBIAN SAINTS"

Palilula Municipality celebrates its patron saints day of "GATHERING OF SERBIAN SAINTS." The guests were hosted in the hall of the cultural center by Boban Džunić, president of Municipality, and his associates, the Assembly president Milos Stojkovic, head of Municipal administration Marija Brajdić, and members of the Municipal Council. In the presence of the clergy of the Niš Eparchy, there was a traditional cake cutting ceremony. The host of the celebration, Boban Dzunic, presented the traditional cake to Milos Stojkovic, president of the Assembly of the City Municipality of Palilula. The ceremony was magnified with the vocal performance of singing group "Constantine”.

President of Municipality Boban Džunić addressed the guests: "Today is our patron saints day of "All Serbian Saints "and as his Grace Bishop of Nis g.Jovan,said that last year " it's wonderful that we pray on these saints because they learned the light of God and the people will learn the light of Christ. "

Thank you for responding to the invitation to attend this year's gathering of the patron saints day, which continued for nine consecutive years since Municipality of Palilula established as the city municipality of the City of Nis. I wish you all well, especially to our dear friends from Svoge municipality in Bulgaria, our partners in constituting cross-border projects, colleagues from other municipalities, representatives of organizations and institutions. As we announced just over a year ago, at the beginning of our mandate, the plans for Palilula are very ambitious. We are aware of the environment and the current economic situation in our society, but without persistence, it is hard to fulfill the promises and always be at the service to our citizens. Everything that has been done prevously, and what we started - we will continue and that will lead to the goal. Once again I wish you all good luck, good health and good business results - said President Džunić.

The reception was attended by representatives of the City Council and the City of Nis, the Bulgarian Embassy in Belgrade, Defence Attache Petar Petrov, Consul General of Bulgaria in Nis Atanas Krstin, military and law enforcement representatives, representatives of municipalities, the Citizens Council, civic associations, a number of public figures from social and political life, media, business associates and friends of the municipality. Municipal celebration was very well organized and the opinion of those present was that this will be an event that will remain in memory.
